Os dados foram divulgados nesta quarta-feira (6) pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat\u00edstica (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>O estado teve o melhor resultado para um segundo trimestre em quatro anos, desde 2019, quando haviam sido abatidas 293.277 cabe\u00e7as de bovino.<\/p>\n<p>Ainda assim, o resultado de segundo trimestre de 2023 ficou 19,1% abaixo do recorde para o estado, registrado no quarto trimestre de 2013 (360.170 animais abatidos naquele ano).<\/p>\n<p>No \u00e2mbito nacional, foram 8,363 milh\u00f5es de cabe\u00e7as de bovinos sob algum tipo de servi\u00e7o de inspe\u00e7\u00e3o sanit\u00e1ria, melhor resultado para o per\u00edodo desde 2014. Essa quantidade foi 13,4% superior ao trimestre imediatamente anterior (7,372 milh\u00f5es) e 12,6% acima do 2\u00ba trimestre de 2022 (7,429 milh\u00f5es).<\/p>\n<p>Entre os estados brasileiros, a Bahia \u00e9 o 11\u00ba maior produtor de carne bovina, representando 3,5% do abate nacional.
